Change Your Windows Experience Index In Windows 7 Posted: 16 Apr 2011 12:00 PM PDT Windows 7 users may be familiar with the hardware performance score the OS assigns to your system called the Windows Experience Index. You can view your system’s current score by going to Control Panel > System. If you want to impress your friends with a freakishly high score, you can easily edit your system’s rating:
I gave this a quick try and it worked. While I wouldn’t recommend keeping this change permanent (I would rerun the performance test once you are done), it is a fun trick you can play if you want system bragging rights. Post from: PCMech.
